Enhanced Features

Enhanced Business features allow better control and customization for your phone service without expensive equipment. The features are a part of your local service and are programmed and maintained by Knology's expert staff. These features work with simple, single-line phone sets or with multi-line business phone sets.

Call Transfer allows the user to transfer a call to another telephone number. This feature can be used to transfer calls within the office or can be used to transfer calls between separate locations.

Call Pickup allows a user to answer incoming calls ringing to another phone. This feature enables better response to your clients and allows easy sharing of answering responsibilities.

Abbreviated Dialing allows a user to call another user or group of users without having to dial the individual telephone number. This allows for quick and easy interoffice communications.

Toll Restriction prevents unauthorized use of the telephone for long distance calling by requiring a 4 digit PIN to complete the call. This feature works well for phones that must be in areas that the public may have access to, such as a front desk or reception area. Only the party that knows the dialing instructions and the PIN may place a long distance call. The customer may choose the PIN.

Hold/Consultation allows the user to place a call on hold and/or place a second call while the first call is on hold. This feature enables the user to speak with two parties privately across the same telephone line and enables hold capabilities if the phone set does not have a 'hold' button. This feature requires Call Transfer in combination with it.

Six-Way Conference allows a user to conference up to 5 additional callers on the line. This feature enables more efficient phone calls for groups of 6 or less and can save on travel time or errors of miscommunication.

Custom Calling Features

Anonymous Call Rejection lets the subscriber refuse calls from anyone who has blocked delivery of his or her telephone number. Never have to take a call from an unknown or private number, including most telemarketers.

Automatic Callback will automatically redial the last number the customer has attempted to call. If the called line is busy, the feature will continue to check the line for 30 minutes. This saves time by not having to redial the whole number over again. If the lines are busy allows the customer to do other things while waiting for the person they are calling to get off the phone.

Automatic Recall will redial the last number that called the customer. The customer will never have to run to the phone again. This feature allows the customer to return the last call missed.

Call Block allows the customer on a per use basis to prevent their telephone name and number from appearing on the caller id box of the called party. Let's the customer maintain their privacy by not allowing their name and/or number from being displayed to the called party.

Call Forwarding allows the customer to control when and where calls are forwarded. When you don't want to miss your calls, but need to leave your house or business, this feature will route all your calls from your regular line to another number, such as a cellular number.

Distinctive Ringing allows the customer to assign a distinctive ring and call-waiting tone to incoming calls from designated telephone numbers. You will know who is calling by the sound of the ringing tone. You won't have to rush over to look at Caller ID.

Selective Call Acceptance allows only calls from certain telephone number to ring the phone. Allows the customer to accept only calls from certain numbers and notify all other callers that the customer is not accepting calls at that time. Great for when the customer does not want to be disturbed by the phone except for calls from certain people.

Selective Call Forwarding allows predesignated numbers to be forwarded to another phone number. The customer can designate exactly which calls they wish to receive on their cellular phone or any other designated line while they are away from home or the office.

Selective Call Rejection allows the customer to keep certain preprogrammed telephone numbers from calling. Prevents unwanted calls from reaching you by rejecting calls from predetermined list of phone numbers.

Speed Calling simplifies dialing for frequently called local or long distance calls. This saves time and the possibility of misdialing the customer's most frequently dialed numbers. Allows up to 9 speed dial numbers.

Three-Way Calling allows the customer to bring a third party into the conversation. The customer can have two other people on the line at the same time, either local or long distance. This allows friends and family the ability to get together when face-to-face meetings are difficult.


Advanced Calling Features

Intelli-Ring allows two different telephone numbers to ring on the same line with distinctive ringing tones. This is great for a home-based business or family with teens. Based on the number called, the customer will know who the call is for and how to answer the call.

Calling Name/Number Blocking Permanent allows the customer to prevent their telephone name and number from appearing on the caller id box of the called party for every call made. Let's the customer maintain their privacy by not allowing their name and/or number from being displayed to the called party.

Call Waiting with Cancel Call Waiting signals a party already involved in a call that another call is incoming. Allows the user to place the first call on hold to answer the second call. The cancel feature allows the customer to deactivate the call waiting signal on a per use basis. When Call Waiting is cancelled, the second caller will hear a busy signal, or go to Voicemail (if the customer subscribes to Voicemail).

Call Waiting Display allows a customer with Caller ID to see the number and/or name information of the call waiting party.

Caller ID (number only) displays the calling party's number. The number will be displayed regardless of the directory status of the number (non-listed or non-published) unless the calling party has placed the all using Call Blocking.

Caller ID Deluxe (name and number) displays the calling party's name and number. The name and number will be displayed regardless of the directory status of the calling party (non-listed or non-published) unless the calling party has placed the call using Call Blocking.

Voicemail allows the calling party to leave a message for the customer if the customer does not answer the phone, either when it rings or if cal waiting is activated, or if the line is busy.

Hunting allows customers to set up their lines so that incoming calls to busy lines will overflow (ring) to another idle member of the defined hunt group.
