ANONYMOUS CALL REJECTION *77
  LETS YOU REFUSE CALLS FROM ANYONE WHO HAS BLOCKED THEIR TELEPHONE NUMBER.

1. When you hear a dial tone press *77.

2. Listen for a confirmation tone or announcement and hang up.

INCOMING CALLS...

Callers who have blocked their numbers will hear an announcement that you do not accept anonymous calls, and that they should remove Blocking and call again. All other calls will ring through as usual. This feature works on local calls only.

TO CANCEL...

1. When you hear a dial tone press *87.

2. Listen for a confirmation tone or announcement and hang up.

Notice: You will not be notified when or how many calls have been rejected.
AUTOMATIC CALLBACK *66
 

AUTOMATICALLY REDIALS THE LAST NUMBER YOU ATTEMPTED TO CALL. IF THE CALLED LINE IS BUSY, THE FEATURE WILL CONTINUE TO CHECK THE LINE FOR 30 MINUTES.

TO INITIATE

1. When you hear a busy signal, press the switchhook and release quickly.

2. Listen for a special dial tone. If you've already hung up, pick up the handset and listen for a normal dial tone.

3. Press *66.

4. If the line is still busy, hang up. Your phone will check the number for up to 30 minutes. To restart the 30-minute clock, repeat steps 1-4.

5. If the line frees up, you will hear a special callback ring. (Some phones ring normally.) Pick up the handset to automatically place the call.

TO CANCEL

1. When you hear a dial tone press *86.

2. Listen for a confirmation tone or announcement and hang up.

NOTES:

  • Automatic Callback can check up to 31 busy lines at a time for you. To know which call is being completed, you must have Caller I.D. Service.
  • This service does not work on 800 numbers, 900 numbers, numbers outside the specified area, or on lines where Call Forward and some other call services have been activated.

AUTOMATIC RECALL *69
 

REDIALS THE LAST NUMBER THAT CALLED YOU.

TO INITIATE

1. Listen for a normal dial tone. If you were already on the phone and ignored a call waiting tone, press the switchhook and release quickly.

2. Press *69. Your phone will announce the number of your last caller. Press 1 to dial the number.

3. If the line is busy, hang up. Your phone will check the number for up to 30 minutes.

4. If the line frees up, you will hear a special callback ring. (Some phones ring normally.) Pick up the handset to automatically place the call.

TO CANCEL

1. When you hear a dial tone, press *89.

2. Listen for a confirmation tone or announcement and hang up.

NOTES:

  • In some areas, after you dial *69, you will be given the phone number of your last caller and asked if you want to use the Automatic Recall feature. Follow the recorded instructions to complete the call.

  • This service does not work on 800 numbers, 900 numbers, numbers outside the specified area, or on lines where Call Forward and some other call services have been activated.
CALL BLOCK *67
  ALLOWS YOU TO BLOCK YOUR NAME AND TELEPHONE NUMBER FROM APPEARING ON THE CALLER ID BOX OF THE CALLED PARTY.

TO INITIATE

1. When you hear a dial tone press *67.

2. Dial the number you're calling.

3. The person you are calling will not be able to see your number on their telephone display screen. They will see instead "P" or "PRIVATE." In order to block your call, the *67 must be entered prior to every call you wish to block your number.

NOTES:

  • The call block feature turns off when you hang up. You must dial *67 before each call you want to block.


  • Permanent Call Block is available as an Advanced Call Feature. At the time your order is placed, the block is programmed on your line. This means that when you place an outgoing telephone call, your caller ID will be blocked. To release your caller I.D. when placing an outbound call, dial *82 and the caller I.D. will be displayed to the called party for that one call. This must be done on every call to release caller I.D.
CALL FORWARDING *72
  ALLOWS YOU TO FORWARD ALL OF YOUR CALLS TO ANOTHER NUMBER SUCH AS YOUR CELL PHONE.

TO INITIATE

1. When you hear a dial tone, press *72.

2. When you hear a stutter dial tone, dial the "forward-to" number. You will hear a two-beep confirmation tone that the feature is now working.

TO CANCEL

1. When you hear a dial tone, press *73.

2. Listen for two beeps, then hang up.
CALL WAITING
  ALLOWS YOU TO NEVER MISS A CALL.

TO INITIATE

1. With a call in progress, you will be alerted to an incoming call by a special tone.

2. To receive the incoming call, press and release the switchhook or "flash" button on your phone. The original party will be put on hold.

3. To alternate between parties, press and release the switchhook or "flash" button once for each alternation.
TO END THE ORIGINAL CALL:

1. Hang up. When your telephone rings, pick it up to be connected to the calling party.

TO CANCEL

1. Pick up the handset. When you hear a dial tone press *70.

2. Listen for two beeps, then hang up. This feature will be deactivated until the next outbound call is placed.
CALLER ID NAME AND NUMBER
  DISPLAYS THE CALLING PARTY'S NAME AND NUMBER. THE NAME AND NUMBER WILL BE DISPLAYED REGARDLESS OF THE DIRECTORY STATUS OF THE CALLING PARTY (NON-LISTED OR NON-PUBLISHED) UNLESS THE CALLING PARTY HAS PLACED THE CALL USING CALL BLOCKING.

TO INITIATE

1. When you get a call, allow the phone to complete two rings.

2. The name and phone number of the caller will appear on your display screen.

3. If you answer the call, the name and number will remain on the screen until you or the caller hangs up.
CALLER ID NUMBER ONLY
  DISPLAYS THE NUMBER ONLY OF THE CALLING PARTY.

TO INITIATE

1. When you get a call, allow the phone to complete two rings.

2. The phone number of the caller will appear on your display screen.

3. If you answer the call, the number will remain on the screen until you or the caller hangs up.

NOTES:

  • Subscription to Caller I.D. Name And Number and Number Only requires a display telephone or an add-on display unit.


  • If a "P" or "PRIVATE" appears on your screen, the caller may have blocked the display of their phone number using Blocking (*67) before placing the call.


  • If "O", "Out of Area", "unavailable" or "unknown" appears, the call is from an area that does not support Calling Number and Name services.
DISTINCTIVE RINGING/CALL WAITING *61
  ALLOWS YOU TO ASSIGN A DISTINCTIVE RING AND CALL-WAITING TONE TO INCOMING CALLS FROM DESIGNATED PHONE NUMBERS.

TO TURN THIS FEATURE ON OR OFF

1. When you hear a dial tone press *61.

2. An announcement will tell you whether this feature is on or off, then tell you how many numbers are stored on your list.

3. Follow the instructions and press 3 to turn the feature on or off.

PROGRAMMING YOUR LIST

Follow steps 1-3 above, then

  • To add a number, press # and follow the voice instructions.


  • To remove a number, press * and follow the voice instructions.


  • To hear the list, press 1 and listen; instructions will follow.


  • To add the last caller, press #01#.


  • To repeat instructions, press 0.

  • INCOMING CALLS

    If the call is from someone on your list, you'll hear a special ring. All other calls will have a normal ring. If you have Call Waiting and receive a call from a number on your list while you're on the line, you'll hear a special Call Waiting tone. For all other calls you will hear a normal tone.

    INTELLIRING
      ALLOWS THREE DIFFERENT TELEPHONE NUMBERS TO RING ON THE SAME LINE AS YOUR HOME PHONE WITH DISTINCTIVE RINGING TONES. SMART CHOICE CUSTOMERS GET ONE INTELLIRING NUMBER INCLUDED IN YOUR SMART CHOICE PACKAGES. THE REMAINING TWO NUMBERS ARE AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE.

    NOTES:
    • You can store up to 31 phone numbers on your Distinctive Ringing/Call Waiting list.
    • You may press 1, 0, # or * at any time during the voice instructions.
    • Your Distinctive Ringing/Call Waiting list is separate from other lists you may have programmed for Selective Call Acceptance, Selective Call Forwarding, Selective Call Rejection and similar services.
    SELECTIVE CALL ACCEPTANCE *62
      ALLOWS ONLY CALLS FROM CERTAIN TELEPHONE NUMBERS TO RING THE PHONE.

    TO TURN THIS FEATURE ON OR OFF:

    1. When you hear a dial tone press *62.

    2. An announcement will tell you whether this feature is on or off, then tell you how many numbers are stored on your acceptance list.

    3. Follow the instructions and press 3 to turn the feature on or off.

    PROGRAMMING YOUR LIST:

    Follow steps 1-3 above, then

  • To add a number, press # and follow the voice instructions.


  • To remove a number, press * and follow the voice instructions.


  • To hear the list, press 1 and listen; instructions will follow.

  • WHEN SOMEONE CALLS:

    If this service is ON, you will only receive calls from numbers on your acceptance list. All other callers will hear an announcement that your number is not accepting calls at this time.

    NOTES:

    • You can store up to 31 numbers on your Selective Call Acceptance list.

    • You may press 1, 0, # or * at any time during the voice instructions.

    • Your Selective Call Acceptance list is separate from other lists you may have programmed for Distinctive Ringing, Selective Call Forwarding, Selective Call Rejection and similar services.
    SELECTIVE CALL FORWARDING *63
      ALLOWS PREDESIGNATED NUMBERS TO BE FORWARDED TO ANOTHER PHONE NUMBER.

    TO TURN THIS FEATURE ON OR OFF:

    1. When you hear a dial tone press *63.

    2. An announcement will tell you whether this feature is on or off, then tell you how many numbers are stored on your forward list.

    3. Follow the instructions and press 3 to turn the feature on or off. An announcement will remind you of your current "forward-to" number. When you first activate this service, you will be prompted for a "forward-to" number. Thereafter you will simply be reminded of your current "forward-to" number.

    TO PROGRAM YOUR "FORWARD-TO" NUMBER:

    4. If the current number is correct, press 1.

    5. To change the "forward-to" number, press 0 and follow the voice instructions.

    PROGRAMMING YOUR FORWARD LIST:

    Follow steps 1-3 above, then

  • To add a number, press # and follow the voice instructions.


  • To remove a number, press * and follow the voice instructions.


  • To hear the list, press 1 and listen; instructions will follow.


  • To add the last caller, press #01#.


  • To repeat instructions, press 0.


  • INCOMING CALLS:

    The call will be routed to its "forward-to" number. If the caller is not on your list, or if the service is off, the call will ring at home as usual.

    NOTES:

    • You can store up to 31 phone numbers on your forward list.

    • You may press 1, 0, # or * at any time during the voice instructions.

    • Your forwarding list is separate from any other lists you may have programmed for Distinctive Ringing, Selective Call Acceptance, Selective Call Rejection and similar services.

    • This service is compatible with Call Forward (all calls). Numbers on your Selective Call Forwarding list will route as programmed. All other calls will be routed to your regular Call Forward number.
    SELECTIVE CALL REJECTION *60
      ALLOWS YOU TO KEEP CERTAIN PREPROGRAMMED TELEPHONE NUMBERS FROM CALLING.

    TO TURN THIS FEATURE ON OR OFF:

    1. When you hear a dial tone press *60.

    2. An announcement will tell you whether this feature is on or off, then tell you how many numbers are stored on your rejection list.

    3. Follow the instructions and press 3 to turn the feature on or off.

    PROGRAMMING YOUR LIST:

    Follow steps 1-3 above, then�

  • To add a number, press # and follow the voice instructions.


  • To remove a number, press * and follow the voice instructions.


  • To hear the list, press 1 and listen; instructions will follow.

  • SIMRING (SIMULTANEOUS RING) *98
      ALLOWS YOUR TELEPHONE TO BE PROGRAMMED TO RING IN UP TO 4 SEPARATE LOCATIONS.

    TO TURN THIS FEATURE ON OR OFF:

    1. When you hear a dial tone press *98.

    2. Listen for an announcement telling you whether the feature is currently on or off. The recorded voice will tell you how many (if any) entries are on your list.

    3. Follow the voice instructions and press 3 to turn the feature on or off.

    PROGRAMMING YOUR LIST:

    Follow steps 1-3 above, then�

  • To add a number to your list, press # and follow the voice instructions.


  • To remove a number, press * and follow the voice instructions.


  • To hear the entries on your list, press 1.


  • To hear instructions again, press 0.


  • NOTE:

    YOU CAN STORE UP TO 4 NUMBERS ON YOUR SIMRING LIST. PROGRAMMED LINES MUST BE LOCAL NUMBERS, BUT DO NOT HAVE TO BE KNOLOGY NUMBERS. ONCE SET UP, YOUR KNOLOGY PHONE WILL RING TO ALL NUMBERS PROGRAMMED. IF NO ONE ANSWERS AT ANY OF THE NUMBERS, YOUR VOICEMAIL OR ANSWERING MACHINE WILL ANSWER. SIMRING IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SMART CHOICE PACKAGE. SIMRING REQUIRES AN ADDITIONAL MONTHLY CHARGE AND A ONE-TIME INSTALLATION FEE.
    SPEED CALLING *74
      SIMPLIFIES DIALING FOR FREQUENTLY CALLED LOCAL OR LONG DISTANCE CALLS.

    TO PROGRAM OR CHANGE YOUR SPEED CALLING LIST:

    1. When you hear a dial tone press *74.

    2. When you hear a new dial tone press a number, from 2-9, that you want to use as a one-digit speed code.

    3. Dial the telephone number you want to associate with that speed code.

    4. Listen for a two-beep tone confirming that the new number has been entered, and then hang up.

    TO USE SPEED CALLING:

    1. When you hear a dial tone press * and a one-digit speed code. Your call will be dialed automatically.

    NOTE:

    IF YOU HAVE ALREADY PROGRAMMED THIS ONE-DIGIT CODE WITH A SPEED CALL NUMBER, THE NEW NUMBER YOU ENTER WILL AUTOMATICALLY ERASE THE PREVIOUS NUMBER.
    THREE-WAY CALLING
      ALLOWS YOU TO BRING ANOTHER PARTY INTO YOUR CONVERSATION. YOU CAN HAVE TWO OTHER PEOPLE ON THE LINE AT THE SAME TIME.

    TO ADD A THIRD PERSON:

    1. With a call in progress, press the switchhook for about one second. This will place the current call on hold.

    2. When you hear a dial tone, dial the number of the third person.

    3. When the third person answers, press the switchhook again for about one second to re-connect the first person. If this call cannot be completed, or if the third person is unavailable, press the switchhook twice to resume your call with the first person.

    TO DISCONNECT THE THIRD PERSON:

    1. Press the switchhook for about one second. You will have only the first person on the line.
    ACCESSING YOUR KNOLOGY VOICEMAIL BOX *96
      If you hear a stutter dial tone, it means you have a new voicemail. Follow the instructions below to retrieve your messages. You can access or log into your mailbox from any phone in any location.

    FROM HOME

    Just press *96. You will be automatically connected to voicemail. At the prompt, enter your password.

    AWAY FROM HOME

    If you are away from home and traveling within other Knology coverage areas, you can access your voicemail via a local access number:

    At the prompt, enter your mailbox number (same as your 10-digit telephone number). To access voicemail from anywhere outside of our coverage area, dial 1-888-300-9707.
    SETTING UP YOUR MAILBOX
      The first time you log in, a tutorial helps you set up your mailbox. You will be prompted to enter a new password, record your name response, and record your personal greeting. Your set up password is 9999.
    CREATE A PASSWORD
      Your personal password protects your mailbox from unauthorized use. The password you select can be from four to seven digits. Use a number combination that is familiar to you.

    For the Personal Options Menu, press 4

    For Personal Preferences, press 4

    To change your password, press 1

    Enter your new password, followed by the # key
    RECORDING YOUR NAME RESPONSE
      Your name response serves as the identification tag for your mailbox. When you are sending, replying to, or redirecting a message, your name response will precede your message. Your name response will also play as a confirmation when someone is sending you a message or adding your mailbox number to a Group List.

    For the Personal Options Menu, press 4

    For Personal Preferences, press 4

    To access your recorded name, press 3

    To record your name, press 2

    AFTER RECORDING YOUR NAME, YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO:

    To play your name response, press 1
    RECORDING YOUR PERSONAL GREETING
      Your personal greeting plays when a caller reaches your mailbox. Your greeting should contain your name, your availability status, and some additional options for your callers.

    SAMPLE GREETING:

    Hello, this is Janet Green. I am not available at this time. Please leave a message at the tone, and I will return your call as soon as possible.

    For the Greeting Menu, press 3

    To record your greeting, press 2

    AFTER RECORDING YOUR GREETING, YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO:

    To play your greeting, press 1

    If the tutorial is not fully completed, it will replay the next time you access your mailbox.
    RETRIEVING MESSAGES
      When you log into your mailbox, the system tells you how many messages you have. If you have no messages in your mailbox, only the Main Menu options will play. Messages are placed into categories when deposited into your mailbox.

    URGENT - A message may be marked as urgent by the caller and will play first.

    NEW - A message that has not been played.

    SAVED - A message that has been played but not deleted.

    Your messages will play in the following order:

    • URGENT
    • NEW (unplayed)
    • NEW (played)
    • SAVED
    PLAYING VOICE MESSAGES
      In order to enter the Play Menu, you must have at least one message.

    LOG INTO YOUR MAILBOX

    To play your messages, press 1

    DURING OR AFTER A MESSAGE IS PLAYED, YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS:

    To return this call, press 8 8

    To replay this message, press 1

    To delete this message and go to the next, press 7

    To reply to this message (Group Messaging Feature), press 8 (You may only reply to a voicemail message from another Knology voicemail user.)

    To save this message, press 9

    To keep this message new and go to the next, press #

    To return to the Main Menu, press **
    MESSAGE PLAYBACK OPTIONS
      At any time during a message you can perform the following functions:

    To rewind the message by six seconds, press 1

    To rewind to the beginning of the message, press 1 1

    To fast forward the message by six seconds, press 3

    To fast forward to the end of a message, press 3 3

    To pause/continue the message being played, press 2

    For other options, press 5

    YOUR OPTIONS ARE:

    To play previous message, press 1

    To switch between Normal/Automatic Playback, press 2

    To replay the message with Time and Date Stamp, press 5
    RECOVERING DELETED MESSAGES
      Deleted messages can be recovered prior to disconnecting from your mailbox.

    To recover all deleted messages, press * 3

    You can recover deleted messages from the Play Menu or the Main Menu. Press ** to return to the Main Menu at anytime.
    PLAYING NEW MESSAGES
      This feature allows you to play only your new messages.

    Log into your mailbox

    To play your new messages only, press 11
    PLAYING SAVED MESSAGES
      This feature allows you to play only your saved messages.

    LOG INTO YOUR MAILBOX
