The Pajama Run was created to help raise awareness and resources for research on cancers occurring below the waist including ovarian, testicular, prostate, bladder, and colon cancer. According to the American Cancer Society:

  • Over 15,000 women will die this year from ovarian cancer
  • There will be an estimated 150,000 new cases of colorectal cancer reported this year.
  • Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men.

With your support, you can help further advancements in cancer research and keep these following statistics growing:

  • In the U.S., there are nearly 140,000 men who have survived testicular cancer.
  • There have been fewer reported cases of colorectal cancer and the death rate has been decreasing for 15 years.
  • Reported cases of uterine cancer have been decreasing by 1% per year since 1998.

You can do you part by following the American Cancer Society's guidelines on nutrition and physical activity:

  • Maintain a healthy weight
  • Adopt an active lifestyle
  • Consume a healthy diet
  • Drink no more than 1-2 alcoholic drinks per day

After the Pajama Run, it's time to celebrate your athletic and fundraising accomplishments with good food, drinks, and awards for the fastest runners. Prizes will be given out to the best pajama outfit and to the individual and team who raised the most money!

Awards will be given to the top three overall M/F winners. Age group awards will be given to the top three M/F in each division: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49 50-54, 55-59, 60+.
